[89Zr]Zr-BI 770371 is a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody developed for use in immune-positron emission tomography (immune-PET) imaging. It consists of the investigational anti-SIRPα monoclonal antibody BI 770371 labeled with the positron-emitting radionuclide zirconium-89 ([89Zr]). The drug is designed to visualize and quantify tumor uptake and biodistribution of BI 770371 in patients with advanced cancers, including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and melanoma. As an immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting signal-regulatory protein alpha (SIRPα), it may help modulate the immune response against tumors. The radiolabeling with zirconium-89 enables high-resolution PET imaging due to its suitable half-life for tracking antibodies over several days[1][2][4][6].
